Pune:

For several years, various organizations in Pune have been advocating for dedicated gardens for couples. They assert that everyone in the country has the right to love regardless of religion, class, caste, or background. Consequently, they are demanding that separate gardens be established where couples can spend time together.

A prominent organization championing this cause is Right for Love, a Pune-based association run by lawyers. They are calling for the protection of at least six gardens in Pune and six in Pimpri-Chinchwad specifically for couples.
According to a circular from the state government, it is the government's responsibility to protect those who fall in love. The Right for Love organization, which provides legal assistance to inter-caste and interfaith couples across Maharashtra, is using this circular to support their demand for protected gardens for lovers in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
